When first started after installation, Pappy Vino asks the user for a cellar file to use :
Two options are offered: , or . Since the computer doesn't have any pre-existing cellar files Pappy Vino is used for the first time, the first option is automatically selected.
When Pappy Vino is used for the first time, it prompts the
user to create a new cellar file with 60 racks (a rack is a
space for one bottle). The number of racks can be modified and should
correspond to the capacity of the user's physical cellar.
Note that the number of racks in the cellar can be modified at a later time, once the cellar file has been created and even if it already has occupied racks.
If a cellar file is already available (which may be the case when Pappy Vino is transferred to a new computer), the user may load it into Pappy Vino by choosing the option and selecting the file via the ellipsis button (). Note that Pappy Vino cellar files have the .pappyvino extension (e.g. cellar.pappyvino):
